Did You Know?
Not all essential oils are created equally. To ensure that you get the maximum therapeutic benefits from Essential Oils look for brands that offer proof of purity.
Grade A is therapeutic medicinal, made from organically grown plants and distilled at low temperatures.
Grade B oils are food grade, but may contain synthetics, pesticides, fertilizers, chemical extenders or carrier oils.
Grade C oils are perfume oils that often contain adulterating chemicals. They usually use solvents, like hexane, to gain a higher yield of oil per harvest. Solvents are normally cancerous. That’s what’s in store bought oils. They are also typically diluted 80-95% with alcohol.
Grade D is called “floral water.” It’s aromatic only and usually a byproduct of Grade A distillation.
Oils can be used in many ways (for example cleaning, beauty, therapeutically, etc.) providing alternatives to harsh chemical products, allowing you to create a less toxic and healthier environment.
When using oils for any purpose, it's important to choose high-quality, pure oils, and to use them safely and responsibly. Some oils can be irritating to the skin or cause allergic reactions, so it's important to patch test them before use and dilute them properly. Additionally, some oils can be toxic if ingested or used improperly, so it's important to do your research and follow proper guidelines and precautions.
